SIRF
SIRF FIRST FUNDRAISING EVENT
BRIEF OVERVIEW
As we all know that one of the major problems threatening the country today is unemployment. This is a problem that has given birth to several social-vices like banditry, cultism, cyber crime, domestic violence, theft, drug abuse and others. It is also quite saddening that most of these activities are found amongst youths.
In the last two years, Still I Rise foundation has successfully helped almost 2,000 beneficiaries through its individual and communal outreach programmes. Part of our mission is skill acquisition and empowerment and with our founder’s support, several projects and cases relating to these sectors have been carried out.
VIEW PROJECTS
THE BETTER LIFE INITIATIVE
We have organised this fundraising with the aim of taking more people off the streets and this can only be done when they are skilled and empowered.
Hence, The Better Life Initiative (A Free Vocational Skill Acquisition Centre for People with Problematic Use of Drugs, victims of domestic violence, sex workers, unemployed youths and others).
At this juncture, for your viewing pleasure, we would like to play a short clip of some potential beneficiaries of The Better Life Initiative as they share their experiences and struggles while they talk about how this Initiative would be of help to them going forward.
