As the month progresses, several activities in the foundation also progresses.
Shortly after the fundraising event, we are already preparing for our mid-year project; another way that Still I Rise foundation intends to help people.
The number one duty of the foundation has always been to cater to the needs of her beneficiaries across the country. The past week was not any different. Cases were tended to. While some have already been closed, others are still undergoing scrutiny.
A case of a beneficiary who needed help with transport fare to return home as a result of the ongoing ASUU strike was tended to and the sum of N20,000 was assigned to the beneficiary.
Help was also received by a beneficiary who needed finances for his school project. The sum of N35,000 was disbursed to assist him in this cause.
Other cases have been declined due to some irregularities and inconsistency on the part of the recipients.
On the occasion of International women’s Day, women of Nyanyan market were reached out to and given a bag containing some basic sanitary items which included sanitary pad, cologne, tissue rolls, deodorant, shaving stick among others.
