The month of January has finally decided to come to an end. The activities of the foundation have been quite interesting and engaging in the month of January and we are very excited to be witnessing the end of the month.
A milestone was reached as we were able to execute two projects in the month of January.
First, on January 17th, we organized the #SIRFGIRLCARE 1.0 project in Sarki Noma girls college of Lokoja, Kogi state. More than 200 girls were given gift bags containing toiletries while a pep talk on menstrual hygiene was delivered to them.
There was also a 2.0 of the project as some women of Nyanyan market in Abuja were visited and given sanitary bags. Moments from these projects were captured in camera and posted on our social media platforms.
Our weekly case activities were also executed and cases were tended to from the foundation’s mail.
Some of these cases are: rent payment, school fees andmedical bills.
The sum of N150,000 was spent on a house rent case. A family in need of shelter was helped and a roof was put on their heads. They showed immense gratitude to the foundation and were elated.
Children are the leaders of tomorrow and their education is very paramount if this is going to become a reality. Some kids were prevented from going to school due to the parents’ inability to pay their school fees. However, Still I RIse Foundation was able to come to the rescue. A total of N86,000 was paid and the children are now back to school.
In the medical line, the sum of N23,000 was spent on a health case of one of our beneficiaries.
Some other cases are pending and would be tenders to this week while others were declined due to discrepancies and fraudulent activities discovered during investigation.
Our weekly post still goes out on all our social media platforms and our blogpost definitely has some interesting articles for you. Make sure to visit our website, sign up for out newsletters, read and share our post and most importantly donate to the foundation’s cause.
