You should have been there. It was big, it was huge, it was fun and in our usual manner, we left a whole lot of smiling faces 🙂 – mostly kids
On the 10th of December, We had just one aim. To bring the Christmas cheer to kids in 2 public primary schools.
Over 500 Pupils from Lea Normadic Primary School Abuja and Basic Methodist School 2 Ibadan experienced the Still I rise funfair with Santa event that we put together.
This was our last program to end the year and we planned it, and the execution was near perfect
At Lea Normadic Primary School, We had Over 300 pupils from primary 1 through 6 experience the Funfair with Santa
We played games with the kids and the kids entertained us as well with cultural presentation from each class
We gave scholarships to the best 2 students in each class from primary 1 to 6. We had 36 Gifts packs for 36 kids who came out to participate in the games and we had special gifts from santa for every other child
Our gift bags contained customized bags, water bottles, Books, Pens, Pencils, coloring sets and we had snacks in them as well. Biscuits, Drinks and more. The energy of the kids was contagious and from the smiling faces you would see in photos, you can tell we most definitely had a blast.
Over at Ibadan it was more or less the same albeit with a smaller audience. Basic Methodist School 2 was our host and we were welcomed by over 200 students from the kindergarten class and Basic 1 through
We also shared gift bags for the kids who came out to participate in the games here – Sack race, fill the bottle, dancing competition. We also had special gift bags for the best kids from KG, Basic 1 through 6.
The kids entertained us with Christmas carol presentation from each class. No one was left out It was fun, it was entertaining, for the kids, the teachers, our volunteers, and the whole Still I Rise Foundation Team.
This was our last big project for the year and we went out with a bang. We are happy and blessed to be able to have done this and had a wonderful end of year party with these beautiful kids. We spoke about the importance of education and why they should enjoy learning. We believe these kids are our future and that we made a big difference and they said as much. This was made possible by our founder and benefactor because he cares and also because of your continuos support
We hope that with your help, we would be doing bigger and better things like this more often.
