The best way to capture moments is to pay attention. This is how we cultivate mindfulness. – Jon Kabat-Zinn
Are you an overthinker?
You spend more time in your head anxious about the future that has yet to happen or replaying the past that has happened and thinking of all the things you “could have or should have done”
Do you know what happens when you are in any of these “places” – You’re missing out on the most important thing happening in your life.
Your NOW, or the Present – like we all like to call it.
You’re missing out on the one thing you have control over that can help you build the future you want and have a past you are proud of.
But most times, when you have this feedback loop of thinking about the past or your future, you can be miserable and frustrated. Because you’re not being productive.
Sometimes, this overthinking can get so much you want to “space out”.
This is where addiction to things and habits rears it’s ugly head. You’re either trying to escape your life with too much social media, alcohol, drugs or sex
But does this make the problem go away?
This is where mindfulness comes in. To be mindful, it means you are present and not trying to escape what’s happening around you.
Mindfulness is not a complex thing. It’s you being okay in your own skin and the best way to do that is to consciously start practicing how to be mindful and present.
When you’re mindful, you are at peace. It’s like the space between breathing in and breathing out. Mindfulness is that “pause” that exists between the two
We’re going to make this very simple for you by sharing 13 easy ways to bring mindfulness into your everyday life.
One for the road, Being grateful for your life, your family, Friends(old and new) and letting the fact you’re alive today inspire you.
We hope these brings much needed mindfulness in your day to day.
