A great way to round up the month of July was getting tested and knowing our Hepatitis B &C status.
On Tuesday, the 27th day of July was the World Hepatitis Day, a day set aside to sensitize people about Hepatitis B, admonishing them to get tested and take the vaccines and treatment where necessary. Team Members of Still I Rise foundation decided to lead by example as we had our test done and took the first dose of the vaccine. The experience was sweet and sour and I hope you don’t laugh at us when the pictures eventually find its way to our social media platforms.
Cases handled by team members during the week involved medical bills payment and business support. A recipient who was critically ill and in dire need of medical help wrote to the foundation for help. An investigation/ follow up team was sent to his house in Lagos to see to his case and also show him love. Afterwards, he was assisted with the sum of N70,000 to take care of his health.
We call ourselves team members because we are more than colleagues. We are a family born out of the love for humanity. It’s why we were able to pull an amazing one for you on Friday, International Friendship Day, our pose was out of this world. Should you need a friendship photo inspiration, then check theseout and thank us later.
Sometimes, having someone to talk to might be all that’s needed for an individual to have a good day. We don’t just help financially; we are always there emotionally to help people scale through some hard times. During the past week, a young man was given professional psychological and financial support to help him go through a tough phase of his life. A sum of N100,000 was used to assist him sort some bills and assist his business. Love indeed knows no bounds and that’s why we urge people to donate to this noble cause.
Remember the words of Aesop “No form of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted”
