The fourth week of July was a restful week for all of us at the foundation. This is in line with the Eid celebration and the just concluded projects held the previous week.
The foundation’s door was only open on Monday, the 18th of July 2021, while the rest of the week was holidays for us.
Nonetheless, cases were handled from our emails and help was rendered to some beneficiaries. Amongst these beneficiaries was a father to be who sought for help to procure some baby items for his soon to be born baby. He wrote to the foundation and was reached out by one of the team members who tended to his case and validated his request. He was assisted with the sum of N40,000 and his joy knew no bounds.
A young man battling with ulcer pain and inability to feed wrote to the foundation seeking help to procure some medicines and food stuff. He was helped with N15,000 after all necessary proofs were obtained.
The importance of food to the human body cannot be overemphasized. This is why we make it a priority to feed as many people as we can. This is evident in our just concluded Sallah outreach project where over 40 families were given food items. In line with this belief, the sum of N30,000 was sent to a young man who needed help to cater for himself and his younger sister.
However, we have seen some cases of fraud where some persons write to the foundation claiming to have all sorts of problems in a bid to defraud us but because we have a competent team working tirelessly to make sure help gets to the right people, such cases are detected and declined.
