Third week of July, an amazing and busy week packed with loads of activities for team members of the foundation.
From Monday up until Saturday, team members of SIRF were busy planning and executing projects. Part of the objectives of the foundation is poverty alleviation and skills acquisition/empowerment. As a result, Two powerful projects centered on these objectives were executed last week thereby reaching out to various people and making a difference one person at a time.
On Thursday the 15th of July is globally celebrated as the World Youth Skills Day (WYSD) and a project tagged “SIRF skills competition/exhibition was organized by Team Skill-Up on behalf of the entire team
The main aim of this project was to encourage more youths to take up skills acquisition and also empower participants in their chosen crafts. Painting and beadwork were the chosen skills and the participants were sure to bring in their A-game. The project was a huge success and a documentary would be shared on our social media platforms once ready.
Subsequently, in celebration of Sallah, Team Spicy organized a Sallah outreach in Kuchingoro community, Airport road Abuja. 40 families were given branded bags containing food items such as rice, garri, vegetable oil, beverages, detergent and many more . The project was a heartfelt one as residents of the community were delighted and grateful for the selfless show of love .
It is indeed a satisfaction helping those in need and capturing the priceless smiles on their faces.
