A father’s tears and fears are unseen, his love is unexpressed, but his care and protection remains as a pillar of strength throughout our lives.

Fathers Day is celebrated world wide on the 20th of June. We decided to celebrate fathers in a very special way this year. The idea behind the project was to appreciate low-income fathers struggling to provide for their families including: Taxi Drivers, Security Men, Traffic wardens, Dispatch riders and Petty traders. Our team members went out en masse on Saturday the 19th of June for a Vox Pop where we met fathers in these categories randomly on the street and engaged them in question, to know how well they knew their children. After the fun interview questions we gave each father gift bags containing branded Mugs, face caps, towels, notepads, hair clippers, chocolate beverages, 5kg bag of rice and other items. The fathers also received cash gifts of 10,000 Naira. It was a fulfilling and pleasurable experience to see the fathers filled with joy and happiness when receiving the gifts.
