The week is a week of celebration and at such events were limited as we had to take a break and spend time with our families in a Still I Rise way.
Cases handled in the last days of march revolved around house rent payment, feeding and also fending for the needs of a baby.
A family who was at the verge of getting thrown out of the house wrote to us for assistance and we assisted with ₦50,000.
Another family burdened with financial issues especially with feeding wrote to us and as swiftly as we could we looked into the case and assisted with ₦20,000.
A baby is unable to speak up when they have needs but their parents is their mouthpiece. So we were able to tend to the needs of a baby by tending to the request of the mother. The sum of ₦40,000 was disbursed to the parents in order for them.to shop for the baby’s essential needs.
An apprentice with a tailoring outfit needed help with getting foodstuffs and a litte upkeep for herself and her grandma who is receiving treatment at the hospital for amnesia and low-blood supply. The foundation sent ₦20,000.
The Easter Sunday featured trivia on all our social media platforms. Selected winners were compensated in a Still I Rise way.
Work on the foundation closed on Thursday as Friday and Monday were declared work free days for team members.
In our own little way, we make conscious efforts to assist people and relief them with the heavy burden they carry. Even babies are not ruled out of the equation.
Next week is another week to make a difference in people’s life and also in the world at large
You can do that too. Just show love and care to those around and watch things change for the better.
