The SIRF Christmas Box Project was done on the 22nd of December 2020. The aim of this project was to reach out to the less privileged during the Christmas festive period. We wanted families to feel loved and enjoy the Christmas spirit. 2020 was a very difficult year. Due to the pandemic, a lot of people lost their jobs and feeding became difficult for them. In light of this harsh reality, we decided to visit 7 families each across 7 states in Nigeria. We put out posts to look for families who really needed support, and we were able to randomly pick these families. The project was carried out in Abuja, Kogi, Lagos, Delta, Rivers, Osun, and Ondo states. Team members and volunteers in these states went out en-mass to visit 7 families each. Still I Rise Foundation played Santa for these families and presented them with gift boxes containing food items, beverages and our branded items. These families were overwhelmed as most of them didn’t see the surprise coming. We were able to reach out to 49 families with this project.
