Happy 23rd day of the month of November and I hope you’re sailing in this month. It’s me again as usual writing to remind you that I haven’t broken up with you
Today I want to quickly have a chat with you about integrity and clear the confusion about it.
Most people confuse integrity for honesty.
Some can’t even tell which is which. So I thought how about we have a little moment of clarity.
Do you know that integrity is choosing your thoughts and actions based on your values rather than personal gain? Whilst most people confuse integrity for honesty, it becomes paramount to know that “integrity is telling yourself the truth while honesty is telling the truth to others. Confused much? No need to be as all you have to do is read it again and again till its clear.
Honesty is for other people while integrity is for your own personal self. Just like Sir Thomas Moore in “a man for all seasons”. He was known for his moral uprightness. He was a man who wouldn’t break regardless of what he was offered. That’s why he was referred to as a man for all seasons.
So ask yourself these questions today:
Are u known for your integrity?
Do you even have an iota of integrity?
Are you sincere to yourself enough to be truthful to others?
How often do you even tell yourself the truth?
Take a time out once in a while and do a random check and balance. Don’t wait for people to tell you what’s not right. Build your integrity level in
order to enhance your honesty level.
Remember “integrity is doing the right thing even when no one is watching ”
Have a pleasant week filled with lots of integrity *winks*
