Many a times people strive to be successful in whatsoever they do. They don’t even care about how the success is achieved as long as they make it. To them, the end justifies the means.
To some very successful ones, all they care about is “their” own progress in life. How they prosper, how much money they have, how many people they have at their beck and call etc. They don’t care how their own success affect others around them.
So I ask ” is success really enough”
It may seem like a crazy and silly question but it makes all the sense to sit and ask yourself some questions.
Do you think you’re successful if the people around you aren’t?
Do you think success is enough when you’ve not embraced excellence and work towards the betterment of your immediate community and your nation at large?
Do you feel your success is successful enough when you have not influenced the people you claim to rule in a positive way?
Yes!!! My success is different from your success. Some things are relative and success is one of them.
However, you are never really successful if the people that look up to you are left to fail. Just like parenting, a parent is said to have failed when the child behaves in an unruly manner.
Success cannot be measured based on your personal accomplishments. It can’t be measured by the minute things you have managed to overcome. Do not get too comfortable with the little you seem to have achieved. Do something for yourself and for others that look up to you.
Work towards excellence and influence your society positively. Help the people around you to become as successful as you have become.
Successful people have to be selfless and not selfish.
They care about others more than they do themselves.
Just like we hear every now and then ” to be a successful leader, you must have raised successful followers to take over from you ”
No one can tell you the truth more than yourself. So when next you’re counting your successes….do yourself a favour, sit down and ask yourself ” is success really enough?”
